It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane…No, It’s…a Bubble Wand?

What do a bubble wand, a tube of toothpaste, and a brooom all have in common?

Well, to the sane person- nothing.  But I’m a mom, thus the sanity left a long time ago and I know the answer.  They are all things that Hali has thrown off our second story balcony.  I am thankful we don’t have any pets.  In trying to teach my oh so talented daughter about plants and flowers, we planted several from seed and water them regularly.  Going out to the balcony where we put them has become an event, part of our routine.  It actually takes less than a minute to water the plants and comment on their growth or lack thereof because I kill all plants that I have ever had (including a fake one).  That’s not long enough for Precious, so we sweep or draw with chalk on the cement or blow bubbles.  Oh, so that explains everything but the toothpaste.  There is no explanation for that.

Just as there is no explanation for why a two year old apparently enjoys jumping up then landing on a poop-filled diaper(that she’s wearing); over and over again.  Or a million other weird things that 2 year olds do. Its things like this that you can either A: get mad about or B: laugh.  I usually sigh then laugh.  Let it go and laugh.
